R.A.P. - Rhythm and Poetry
Students will learn the fundamentals of spoken word and rap as well as its connection to poetry. To the backdrop of hip hop instrumental beats, students will create their own verses on themes of their choice or that tie into classroom curriculum.
With the same foundation as the 3-session residency, student will go further in creating their own raps or spoken word pieces. After a series of exercises building teamwork and performance skills, this residency will culminate in a final performance by all participants.

$525 for 3 workshops/day
Travel Fee: $100/day
Processing fee of $30 added to all contracts
- Schools must schedule at least three workshops in a single day
- Schools preferring a more introductory residency can schedule a total of one introductory skills workshop for each of their classes with no culminating event.
- Planning fee will be based upon scope of residency
- Pricing may vary for weekend/out-of-school time

Performance Space Requirements: Desks and chairs for writing
