manguitoA Musical Journey to the Caribbean

Experience the joyous music of Latin America such as the rumba, bomba, plena, and Dominican merengue. Five internationally known Latin American musicians take students on an interactive musical tour of the Caribbean as they play the rhythms of Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic on a variety of musical instruments. Students participate throughout the presentation via sing-alongs, clapping rhythms, playing instruments, and dancing. In addition, this program provides students with an appreciation of the unique fusion of Spanish, African, and Native American cultures in Latino culture.

Master Class for Music Students

Manguito’s master classes further introduce young musicians to the world of Afro-Latin music. Music students will learn rhythms from a variety of Latin styles of music, including the rumba, bomba, plena, and merengue.  Master Class Length: 45-60 minutes

Participants: 30 students Price: $125 per master class (includes one artist)
