Karim Nagi is a passionate ambassador of Arab culture with a mission to show students a world beyond senstionalist headlines that is rich in tradition, vibrant expression, and stirring rhythm. As a percussionist, he has authored 14 CDs and instructional DVDs. He is also a TEDx speaker and a board member of Chamber Music America. His Arabiqa school assembly program is in its 19th year, and has performed over 400 in schools nationwide.

Note: Arabiqa is available live online and pre recorded for remote learning.

Karim teaches at the New England Conservatory of Music and has lectured and presented at Harvard, MIT, Yale, Bowdoin, Princeton, Stanford, William & Mary, and several Community Colleges. He has recorded music for Bellydance Superstars, Bellyqueen, and the Bellytwins, as well as mainstream artists like Alicia Keys, and The Urban Griot Project.

His performances boast a dynamic concoction of live drumming and Arab dance, done in unison.
