How You Can Help

Your Financial Gift to Young Audiences of Massachusetts:

  • helps keep our Expanded Arts Access programming free for students in under-resourced school districts, preschool students experiencing homelessness, and students learning in hospitals and special needs settings.
  • helps ensure that the next generation of MA students will experience dance, music, theater, visual and literary arts as part of their education by enabling us to reach more students in more MA communities.
  • helps us attract and retain the region’s best performing and teaching artists as we expand our offerings to represent an even greater variety of traditional and contemporary art forms from cultures around the world.

Your Gift Of:

  • $75 provides instruments for our Expanding Horizons Through Music (EHTM) early literacy through music program for preschool children experiencing homelessness.
  • $150  helps  learners to express themselves together through movement, rhythm, or story in a YAMA expanded access residency lesson.
  • $600  brings three specially adapted arts workshops for physically or emotionally challenged students learning in hospitals and special needs schools.
  • $1200 provides a jaw-dropping live performance to students rarely exposed to the performing arts.
  • $2500 supports the development of new arts learning programs that bring new worlds into students' homes.

How Your Gift Impacts Students

Expanding Horizons Through Music

In addition to weekly lessons, each student receives a personalized bi-lingual songbook in our Expanding Horizons Through Music Program which uses music to teach foundational literacy skills to homeless preschool students.

YAMA Performances

Students listen with wonder to the classical violin of Shaw Pong Liu. YAMA performances often provide students their first encounters with an art form while providing cultural contexts and curriculum ties.

Residency Programs

Students at the Sarah Frederick School in Dorchester perform newly perfected Latin dance moves in a yearlong residency program made possible through donor support. YAMA’s residency programs enable students to express themselves while connected with culture.
